It's important for the association to address issues large and small that affect the quality of life of local residents and business owners and support those issue that move the ball forward for everyone. I also sat down with the President and CEO of the Walter E Washington Convention Center and Sports Authority, Greg O'Dell, and his team to review and discuss the latest enhancements to the new Convention Center web site. Not only will the new web site serve the needs of exhibitors and visitors to the facility, but the new neighborhood link on the Visitors page will help expose local businesses, who are participating in our local MyRadius web site and who are actively involved with Shaw Main Streets. Mr O'Dell expressed a strong interest in meeting with other neighborhood association leaders, and the greater community in the near future and having his team regularly engage with the surrounding neighborhood associations on important issues which can be more effectively addressed by all of us working together.
