7pm, Monday, May 17
Kennedy Recreation Center, 1401 7th Street NW
The Friends of Kennedy Playground will be holding their regular monthly meeting, open to the public, to review and discuss plans for the current design of the water feature planned for the site. Long before the current $3.1M facility was built, there was a small spray park on the Kennedy Playground which was popular among kids and families looking to beat the humid heat of Washington summers. It will be refreshing to see this popular feature incorporated into the layout of the playground once again.
